Please note that there was a bug in the invite system yesterday, which has been corrected.

All invites have been sent out again, and all accounts have 99 invites.

Everyone who requested an invite to the Backlinked.com service should have received an invite in their email inbox by now.

About half of the invites were sent out today, to the email addresses you emailed us with. The other half will be out in the next week or so. If you want an invite contact us here, you will probably get one faster if you mention what your website is. For those of you who did get an email, please remember that the site is still a little buggy!

Backlinked got slammed with beta invites yesterday. We found a new webhost (Media Temple), so invites will be sent out once we are moved and running 100%

Yes, it’s been a long time since the ‘almost ready’ post. We pushed the release back a bit and added some AJAX, load balancing and more streamlined code to make the user experience a little more pleasant. Were hoping for a soft launch next week, it’s all ready, just waiting on some more hosting for some extra website crawlers. I will send out beta invites to anyone who wants one, use the contact page.

Its taken a lot longer that I had originally imagined, but the site is almost ready for a beta launch. My original goal was for October 1st, but it might be a little late. Maybe something more like October 5. I also have a frontpage ready (that probably should have been done months ago)

The Backlinked.com weblog will feature website news, such as new features, broken scripts, bug reports and so on. It will also have the occasional backlink related article, and anything else that the users might want to know about.
